One of the things that will always amaze me is how real everything looks. The first time I flew and saw the sun setting over the horizon, I had to remind myself this wasn’t a real flight—though the views were convincing enough to make you believe it.

After 700+ hours of flying in DCS, I’ve learned a lot about myself as a virtual pilot. But more importantly, I’ve come to appreciate the dedication and skill it takes to be a part of something as high-stakes and intense as fighter flying.
